Yesterday was our second, and final day, of touring the National Mall with the Big Bus Tours.
First we went to the Arlington Cemetery where John F. Kennedy and his family are buried. Knowing his story and what he meant to the American people, I was very moved to visit his grave, next to Jackie and their two children they lost way too soon...
Then it was off to the most famous and important building of this city: The White House! We visited the front side as the back side was a bit too far to walk to. But we did get to see it at the night tour that day.
FYI: the front side is the one you always see on the news and official events.
The back side is the one they always use in the movies (little fun fact the tour guide told us😉)
Unfortunately Mr. President was in Delaware so didn't get to meet him 😉
Our final stop that afternoon was the Capitol.
Then we had to wait about 3 hours before we could go on the night tour that we had booked with them.
It was amazing to see all the buildings and monuments that we saw during the day, all lit up so beautifully at night!
That tour took 2 hours and I loved every second of it!
Unfortunately that was also the final day of touring around😥😥😥
Today we slept in and rested in our hotel as the past few days were very exhausting, touring over 12 hours a day in this brutal heat...
Tomorrow we gotta get up bright and early to leave this amazing city😥, but on the bright side: I'M FINALLY GONNA BE REUNITED WITH MY US FAMILY TOMORROW FOR THE NEXT 5 DAYS😍😍😍
See ya'll tomorrow!
xoxo
